Roswell Teacher Awarded Mall Gift Card
Mountain Park Elementary School kindergarten teacher Gwen McCarter was awarded $500 Shop Etc. mall gift card.
In recognition of National Teacher’s Day on May 6, North Point Mall awarded Mountain Park Elementary School teacher Gwen McCarter a $500 Shop Etc. mall gift card.
North Point Mall asked its Facebook followers to nominate and vote for top performing teachers in the community.
McCarter received the most votes on the mall’s Facebook page from April 10-22.

One parent who nominated McCarter, who is a kindergarten teacher, described her as “a teacher who truly cares." The nomination applauded McCarter for choosing to stay with her students who were stranded during a January snow storm to keep them occupied, calm and happy despite being given the option to go home.
"It is an honor to be recognized by North Point Mall and the community in which I teach," the teacher said. "While I am rewarded by the work I do in the classroom every day, I appreciate this unexpected gift of appreciation."
