Special Athletes Need Funding to Train, Compete

More than 600 athletes with special needs – including students at Roswell schools – are hoping to raise funds for training and to attend competitions.

The Fulton County Schools Special Olympics program is running a capital campaign to raise money to pay for training and competitions held throughout the school year. Athletes in the Fulton County Schools program train for and compete in bowling; bocce; softball; volleyball; basketball; tennis and athletics.

Special Olympians from ; ; ; ; ; ; ; ;  Woodland Charter; , ; Abbott's Hill; Lake Windward Elementary and train for eight weeks prior to each competition.
