School: Furman University

Students from Roswell who attend Furman University were recently named to the dean's list for the fall 2011 semester, according to the school's website.

The honor is awarded to full-time undergraduates who earn a grade point average of at least 3.4 during the university’s fall and spring semesters. It's a prestigious honor that only includes about 25 percent of students.

“The rigorous academic standards at Furman are designed to challenge and motivate students to perform at their highest levels,” said Dr. John Beckford, Dean of the Faculty. “Dean’s List recipients are a distinguished collection of student-scholars who have excelled in the classroom and share a commitment to academic excellence.”
