Atlanta Falcons Players, Cheerleaders to Hold Roswell Youth Clinics

Signup is under way for March 30 clinics led by Atlanta Falcons players and cheerleaders.

Former Atlanta Falcons linebacker Buddy Curry, co-founder of Kids & Pros, will host youth football and cheer clinics, along with a parent information session from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday, March 30, at Roswell Area Park.

The sessions are presented by Kids & Pros  Inc., Roswell Recreation and Parks Department, Roswell Youth Football and Cheer Association, and the Atlanta Falcons, says a news release.

The clinics and parent information session are open to all North Fulton area youth recreation and school coaches and parents. Areas of focus will include: the affect as a coach as a role model, character building through football and cheerleading, equipment fitting, concussion avoidance, and Heads Up FootballSM (the steps of proper football tackling technique and other skills to avoid injuries).

Atlanta Falcons players and cheerleaders will be on hand to help lead the clinics. The clinics are brought to the city of Roswell, compliments of the Atlanta Falcons Youth Foundation and RYFCA, and supported in part by SCORE Atlanta, and the city of Roswell.

Curry, a USA Football Master Trainer, incorporates safe tackling techniques from USA Football’s Heads Up FootballSM  program into his clinics, along with life skill lessons. The safe, non-contact football instruction teaches campers, parents and coaches the right way to play and how to avoid injuries, like concussions.
