Centennial Falls to West Forsyth, 70-20

The Knights struggled to gain any momentum.

The Centennial Knights were defeated, 70-20, Friday night by the undefeated West Forsyth Wolverines, who didn’t punt the ball once as that team's offense exploded for 541 yards Friday night.

The Wolverines at one point scored 21 points on a total of five offensive plays, including a 31-yard touchdown run by Blake Roberts. They took a 42-6 lead into halftime.

Junior quarterback AJ Erdely was phenomenal, going 11 of 14 on 168 yards passing and four touchdowns.

Junior tailback Jake Wieczorek worked the end around all day on Centennial, rushing for 135 yards and four touchdowns. Blake Roberts found the end zone twice as well and finished the night with 78 yards on eight carries.

On each drive, Centennial struggled to gain any momentum, but it did cut it to an eight-point lead late in the first quarter after quarterback Jimmy Meyer converted a 25-yard pass to Christian Robinson on a daring fourth-and-8.
