Centennial Puts Up Fight Against Wheeler

The schools battled it out on the field last night, but in the end the Wheeler Wildcats edged out the Knights.

Centennial Knights continued a three game losing streak during last night's game against Marietta's Wheeler High School Wildcats, but not without putting up a good fight.

"This was definitely a game in which both offenses were clicking and scoring at will, as well as taking advantage of special teams miscues," said Jeff Burch, assistant head football coach for the Knights.

According to Burch, Centennial blocked an extra point and two punts, one for a safety. Wheeler blocked a punt which led to a touchdown, blocked an extra point as well and had a kickoff return for a touchdown.
