More than 50 people attended the recent Children of the American Revolution (CAR) gathering Sunday, Sept. 9 at Bulloch Hall to commemorate the 225th Anniversary of the signing of the U.S. Constitution.
Alongside CAR members, Marth Stewart Bulloch Daughters of the American Revolution members and prospective members, the organization's state president and senior state presidents visited from Macon, as well.
New officers were sworn in and every child signed the Constitution scroll and rang bells in recognition of next week’s 225th anniversary of the signing of the Constitution.
In total, 13 applications for new membership were signed and CAR members finished the day with an old fashioned ice cream social.
"It was an extraordinary event," said Lee Hills, the senior recording secretary for the Martha Stewart Bulloch Society.
Historic Roswell’s Bulloch Hall allows the Society to use the Osage Terrace Room and Pavillion for its monthly meetings.
"We are honored to have a home at our namesake," said Hills.
