Fellowship Christian Athletes Named to All-Area Soccer Teams

Six athletes from both Fellowship Christian School's varsity boys and girls soccer teams were named to the Area 6 All-Area soccer teams.

Five Paladins Named to Boys Area 6 All-Area Team

The Fellowship Christian School varsity boys soccer team placed five players on the Area 6 All-Area Boys Soccer Team, including juniors Austin Daniels, Dalton Depew and Deklan Reid, sophomore Jake Williamson and freshman Jon Consoli.

The Paladins finished the season with a 12-5-1 record, and reached the second round of the GHSA playoffs this season.

Williamson, a forward, led FCS with 22 goals and 15 assists. A midfielder, Depew ranked second on the team with 10 goals and four assists. Daniels, a midfielder, shared third on the club with three assists and was fourth in goals with five.

A freshman defender, Consoli was one of the anchors of the Paladin defense that allowed just 35 goals this season. A junior, Reid posted three shutouts from his goalkeeper position.

The Paladin season ended with a 4-3 double overtime loss at Hebron Christian Academy in Dacula in the second round of the GHSA Boys Soccer Playoffs on May 6.

Six Lady Paladins Earn Spot on Girls Area 6 All-Area Squad 

Six members of the Fellowship Christian School girls varsity soccer team have been selected for the Area 6 All-Area Girls Soccer Team, including seniors Elizabeth Tribble and Zoe Lukashevich, junior Abigail Freemyer, sophomores Megan Hudgens and Sarah Kate Jones and freshman Mackenzie Gibbs. 

This group has helped the FCS squad (11-4 overall) reach the GHSA Girls Soccer Final Four for the fourth consecutive season.   

Hudgens, a forward, leads the Lady Paladins with five playoff goals. Gibbs, a defender, had a goal and an assist in Saturday’s 4-3 double over victory over The Paideia School at Paladin Field in the quarterfinals of the GHSA Single A playoffs. 

Tribble and Freemyer are midfielders, while both Lukashevich and Jones are defenders. 

Head coach Trip Hughes has been named 1A Girls Coach of the Year. Hughes, who is retiring following the season, will be one of two coaches to lead the white team at the DiVarsity All-Star Game on Sunday, May 18 at Sprayberry High School. 

Hudgens, Jones and senior goaltender Anna Soderlund will play for the white squad against the blue team on May 18.
