Homestretch Currently Registering for Annual Golf Tournament

The tournament returns to the The Manor in Alpharetta again this year.

The event is not only a good time for golfers, it is also a chance to support a local organization which provides North Fulton's homeless and poverty-stricken families with permanent, sustainable housing.

"For over 20 years, HomeStretch has helped homeless families in North Fulton by providing temporary housing and supportive services, allowing families the opportunity to regroup and recover from the trauma of homelessness, as well as make life changes that will help them avoid a housing crisis in the future," said Monica Oliveira, Grants and Events manager for Homestretch.

Organizers are expecting around 100 golfers to tee up at The Manor for the event on August 27.

"The support of local residents and businesses make our fundraising events successful - their participation is truly helping to transform the lives of homeless adults and children," Oliveira said.

It's the second year the event has taken place at the private golf club in Alpharetta.

"We’re returning this year because it’s a beautiful venue and they offer the only Tom Watson championship golf course in Georgia," said Oliveira.

Registration costs $195 per individual or $700 for a foursome.

The event will also include a Four Ball Scramble, contests, golf poker, raffles and prizes. Golfers who register prior to August 1 will receive a wicking tournament golf shirt for free.
