North Fulton Teams Advance in Volleyball Playoffs

Roswell, Centennial, Chattahoochee, Johns Creek and North Springs will be in action Tuesday.

Many of the top seeds in the Georgia High School Association state volleyball tournament will remain in action when the playoffs resume Tuesday. 

Four North Fulton teams will be competing in the Class AAAAAA tournament.

No. 5 Chattahoochee (44-9) will be at home against Newnan after defeating Woodstock last Thursday in the first round. 

Johns Creek (42-9) is ranked No. 3 but will have to go on the road Tuesday against No. 8 North Gwinnett. 

Centennial (38-11), ranked 10th, will play at Lassiter, while No. 6 Roswell (35-12) visits Brookwood. 

In Class AAAAA, seventh-ranked North Springs (28-14) plays at home Tuesday against Richmond Hill. 

Tuesday's winners advance to the state quarterfinals on Saturday. 

Roswell's Fellowship Christian School made the state playoffs for the first time. But the Lady Paladins were ousted by Darlington in the first round on Thursday and finished their season with a 25-8 record.
