Davis Plowman/Blessed Trinity

Sometimes kickers only get noticed in football when they make a mistake, but that's not the case for Blessed Trinity's Davis Plowman.

The senior made one of the biggest kicks in program history last week — a 49-yarder with 16 seconds remaining — as the Titans beat Lovett 31-28 and take the lead in the Region 6-AA, Division B standings.

Plowman made two other field goals in the game.

Other top performers:

Jordan Denson, running back: Rushed for 117 yards and one touchdown on 28 carries.

Spencer McManes, quarterback: Completed 13 of 21 passes for 219 yards.

Chris Dore, receiver: Had four receptions for 64 yards.

Scott Evans, receiver: Two receptions for 59 yards.

Corey Wilson, running back: Rushed for 97 yards on 20 carries in a 38-19 loss to Alpharetta.

Jonathon Harrigan, running back: Rushed for 67 yards and a touchdown.

Ryan Monty, quarterback: Completed 7 of 16 passes for 122 yards.

Bennett Barton, receiver: Caught four passes for 99 yards and a touchdown.

Alex Brandeis: Had seven solo tackles.

Conner Slewitzki: Six solo tackles, two assists and two tackles for losses.

Stephen Lantz, defensive back/running back: Scored his ninth touchdown of the season and had seven tackles on defense in a 34-7 loss to Holy Innocents'.

Tyler Hart, running back: Rushed for 58 yards on 13 carries.

Blais Furse, quarterback: Rushed 16 times for 66 yards.

Conor Linneen, defensive back: Had six solo tackles, three assists.

Robert Germaine: Was in on eight tackles.

Jacob Miller: Was in on seven tackles.

Note: Centennial High was idle last week.
