Are you ready for another round of picks?

at Alpharetta: First-place Alpharetta (6-1, 3-0 Region 6-AAAAA) vs. last-place Roswell (0-6, 0-2). This shouldn’t be a contest, right? Well, maybe. It’s clear that both teams are exactly what they are. Alpharetta, with exciting quarterback Joshua Dobbs emerging as a star, is the region’s best team despite some closer-than-expected results (such as last week’s 20-19 win over Milton). Roswell, the defending region champ, hasn’t regrouped since losing a big lead in the season opener against Collins Hill, and has been finding ways to lose since. But consider this: Alpharetta has never beaten the Hornets — none of the previous five meetings have been closer than 11 points. Don’t you think somewhere along the line the Hornets are going to put a complete game together? Well, maybe. Alpharetta 24, Roswell 17.

at Lovett: This Region 6-AA, Division B game matches teams on two-game winning streaks. Blessed Trinity is 3-3 overall, 2-0 in the subregion; Lovett, a state semifinalist last year, is 5-1, 2-0. A win over Lovett would be arguably the biggest regular-season victory in Titans history. Blessed Trinity has shown it can play with a team like Lovett, but the Lions may be too tough to beat on its home field. Lovett 28, Blessed Trinity 24.

Holy Innocents at : Fellowship has its biggest test of the season as Region 5-A North leader Holy Innocents' comes to Roswell. The Paladins (3-3, 1-3) have the ability to play against top opponents (a 14-7 loss at Wesleyan two weeks ago can attest to that). But Holy Innocents’ (5-1, 3-0) is on a hot streak and looks destined to win the subregion title. Holy Innocents’ 35, Fellowship Christian 17.
