City to Shoot Off Fireworks at Roswell High School

Trade "ramparts" for a football stadium and you've got yourself the making of a very patriotic evening this Fourth of July, when the "rockets red glare" will light up the sky over .

For many Roswell families and those in neighboring areas, the annual July 4th Extravaganza, with its breathtaking fireworks and entertainment, is a tradition.

This year, the entertainment begins at 6 p.m. and includes activities for the children, as well as the following performances emceed by Moby, a popular local radio personality:

• Back Trax at 6 p.m.
• Banks & Shane at 7:30 p.m.

will also be giving away a year's worth of movies to one lucky winner in the form of 52 "Aurora Rewards" passes. The local theater will set up their "Snowie" shaved-ice kiosk and a putting green.

At dark, a 30-minute fireworks display will cap off the evening.

Bring chairs, blankets and picnics for an old fashion family outing. Concessions by Shane’s Rib Shack will also be available for purchase. A children’s carnival and inflatable activities will be on hand for a nominal fee.
