Free Fun: Make Cool Stuff with Duct Tape

Here is a list of fun and free stuff to do this week in Alpharetta, Roswell, Cumming and Johns Creek with your family.

If the kids are already complaining that they are bored on their summer vacation, you are in luck. There are several places available to take the kids to entertain them for free this week. Patch has come up with five of them for you to enjoy. 

1. Home Depot Kids Workshop in , , and

Deal: Bring the kids between 10 a.m. and 12 noon on Saturday and they can build an organizer and learn about tools and safety. This is a fun activity for the kids and would make a cute Fathers Day gift.

Good Through: This is a one day event that occurs monthly with different activities. 

2. l in Alpharetta

Deal: Bring the duct tape and the kids on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. for a free workshop where they can learn fun things they can make with tape. 

Good Through: This is a one day event that occurs regularly. 

3. Visit Your, , and library to get free

Deal: Library card holders can check out free tickets to Zoo Atlanta. For more information, see this website.

Good Through: This is an ongoing program with an unknown expiration date.

4. Vacation Bible School Camp in Johns Creek, Alpharetta, Cumming and Roswell

Deal: Check out the church you attend or one that is closest to your home for a free Vacation Bible School summer camp. Many of them are hosting these free five day camps for kids up through elementary school age. Kids will do crafts, sing, play games and learn bible stories. 

Good Through: These events usually happen at each church once each summer. 

5. Free Bowling At Stars And Strikes in

Deal: Sign up here and your kids will get free bowling all summer long. You still have to rent shoes but the bowling is free Monday through Saturday. 

Good Through: The offer is valid all summer.

*Bonus: While it is out of our immediate Patch area, here is a great deal for a family day this weekend. Bank of America customers can get into the museum for free this weekend through the Museums On Us program. , , Atlanta History Center, and the are included. Get free general admission on the first full weekend of every month by presenting your Bank of America card. This coming weekend is the free one.
