I work with someone who doesn't celebrate Halloween. It was literally put to me that way when I asked if they would like to decorate small pumpkins for the office. Nothing horrible, just a cute team building activity of decorating small pumpkins to put in the break room, showcasing creativity coworkers don't often get to share.
To me, the decoration of a small pumpkin doesn't celebrate much besides the change of seasons and just plain fun. I've made small pumpkins into snowmen before. And I've seen large pumpkins decorated as cute as can be.
