Barrington Hall Seeks Docent Volunteers

Learn how to take visitors on tours through the historic home in Roswell!

Do you love history? Do you like talking about history and interacting with other people? If you do, you might consider becoming a docent at , the antebellum house museum that was the home to Barrington and Catherine King, as well as generations of their descendants.

A docent is a volunteer who acts as a guide in historic homes, museums and art galleries. Barrington Hall, as well as Roswell’s and , all use docents to guide tours throughout the properties.

Docent training is scheduled for July 17, 19, 24 and 26 at 7 p.m. at Barrington Hall. Docent training sessions will teach the history of Barrington Hall and of the family that occupied it for 161 years.
