Elmcroft Resident Dances Again

The assisted living resident and former dance champion danced the Jitterbug once again several weeks ago.

Second Wind Dreams helped make a local senior citizen's dream come true recently.

Dorie - a resident at in Roswell - is a past Jitterbug champion, but it's been a while since she was able to glide across a dance floor. Second Wind put together a special evening for the 87-year-old several weeks ago and had well-known Jitterbug group, "Swinging from the Heart" stop by to help make Dorie's dream to dance again a reality.

Jitterbug couples dressed in period attire danced to Christmas, Jitterbug music. After a few songs, unsuspecting Dorie - whose family and friends had come to watch - was presented with a rose and asked dance.
