Below is a list of five not-for-profit organizations in Roswell that make the community a better place, thanks to what they're doing.

What They Do: The mission of North Fulton Community Charities is to support families in their homes during short-term emergencies. NFCC assists families with rent, utilities, transportation, food, clothing, medicine and other basic needs. The thrift store sells clothing and furniture at low costs.

What They Do: The Chattahoochee Nature Center is a nature park and a nature preservation and educational center. The park features over one hundred acres of camp grounds, walking and biking trails and picnic areas, all surrounding a beautiful stretch of the Chattahoochee River. The nature center provides support for campers, bikers and groups, and it also features an environmental program to teach the public about preservation.

What They Do: The Child Development Association (CDA) provides affordable childcare and early learning programs for preschool children of low-income families in the metro Atlanta area. The CDA prepares disadvantaged children for success in education and life. And, our childcare services enable hardworking parents to maintain full-time employment to support their families.

What They Do:  Georgia Ensemble Theatre and Conservatory is a creative arts community, and is known as a preeminent professional theatre company that provides a dynamic and diverse theatrical experience to captivate the current generation of theatergoers and nurture future generations. The Theatre provides first class theatre productions and educational opportunities on a year-round basis and is the resident professional theatre at the.

Habitat For Humanity North Central Georgia

What They Do: The ultimate goal of Habitat for Humanity is to eliminate poverty housing and homelessness by constructing and building adequate and basic housing. In January 2006, the affiliates in North Fulton, Cherokee, Forsyth, and Dawson Counties merged to form Habitat for Humanity-North Central Georgia, in order to greater address the housing need in the region. Today, Habitat for Humanity-North Central Georgia has built over 100 homes in North Fulton, and over 200 throughout the area.
