Go Out for Valentine's Day, Do Good at 'LIFT a Fork' Benefit

Celebrate Valentine's Day a little early and help prevent local students from becoming dropout statistics by supporting Project LIFT.

Who says giving back can't be fun? The organizers of LIFT a Fork have put together a fundraising gala that flies in the face of any preconcieved notions about serving others.

A fabulous and fun night out Saturday, Feb. 11 at the in Alpharetta will benefit Project LIFT.

Money raised at the event will go to the Project LIFT program, which helps North Fulton teens having trouble with school work, peer pressure and family difficulties. In an age when a student drops out of high school every twenty-nine seconds, Project LIFT helps students set goals and work toward them with the help of personal mentors and weekly meetings. The program is offered at no costs to the students who are referred to the nonprofit organization through schools, family members or others in the community.
