Seventh Annual Drake House fundraiser draws big crowds from across North Fulton

Ice cream lovers from all over Fulton County flocked to on Sunday afternoon to enjoy the Seventh Annual Miss Mary's Ice Cream Crankin'.

The event, which raises funds for Roswell's Drake House, featured homemade ice cream in every flavor imagineable offered up by local businesses, civic organizations and churches.  As part of the festivities, the ice creams were evaluated in several categories by a panel of "expert" judges.

The Drake House provides a temporary residential housing program for single mothers and their children.  Since opening its doors to homeless families in 2006, the Drake House has served almost 200 families with more than 350 children.
