Johnson Controls Continues Tradition of Helping North Fulton Community Charities

Johnson Controls employees, from throughout the metro area, focus efforts to help North Fulton Community Charities stock its shelves.

Johnson Controls and its 140 Atlanta-based employees donated nearly $25,000 to United Way of Metropolitan Atlanta in 2011 and helped stock the shelves at Roswell's . 

“We can always count on Johnson Controls employees to open their wallets and their hearts in supporting our efforts to help our neighbors in need,” said Vonda Malbrough, development director, North Fulton Community Charities.

In November, the Johnson Controls Atlanta office organized a food drive, benefitting North Fulton Community Charities (NFCC), a United Way Agency.  Employees collected more than 300 non-perishable food items used to restock the pantry’s shelves for the Thanksgiving holiday.

“Their support, combined with that of others, allows us to assist 114 families per day, provide nine tons of food and staple goods per week, and last year distribute $1.2 million in financial assistance,” siad Malbrough.

“Johnson Controls has been part of the Atlanta community for more than 90 years, and we feel it is our responsibility as corporate citizens to support important organizations such as the United Way,” said Romaine Camera, Johnson Controls Atlanta service branch manager. ”We look forward to many more successful years.”
