Local Krogers 'Round-Up' Support for U.S. Troops
The grocery chain is partnering with the USO to support the families of American troops; and you can participate through July 7.
Kroger is joining forces with the United Service Organization (USO) now through July 7 to “Round-Up” support for American troops and their families by urging customers to round up their purchases to the nearest dollar.
The “Round-Up” will raise funds to help provide financial assistance for service men, women and their families.
Customers can also write encouraging messages on postcards provided at each register throughout the “Round-Up.” All postcards will be delivered to the USO and sent to active troops.

“With 71 years of dedication and service to Americans, Kroger is proud to partner with an organization like the USO,” says Glynn Jenkins, director of communications and public relations for Kroger’s Atlanta Division. “We encourage our customers to assist in whatever ways they can – either by participating in the ‘Round-Up’ or by filling out postcards – and help the USO continue to serve members of the military, wounded troops and their families.”
Established in 1941, the USO – a nonprofit, congressionally chartered organization – supports American troops in combat, as well as military personnel on local bases, the National Guard, Guard Reserves, and other personnel providing humanitarian aid.
