Purdy Needs A Loving Family to Adopt Her

The shepherd mix wants a chance to live outside an animal shelter.

After traveling all the way from a shelter in Louisiana, Purdy came to the Atlanta Humane Society's North Fulton shelter in search of a new home. Purdy arrived in January and you could never know that this loving girl’s last two homes were animal shelters. She has a sweet disposition and with her playful, gentle nature enjoys the companionship of children. At six years old this pretty lady still loves to play and chase balls but can also appreciate a relaxing evening with her favorite people.

Purdy is a 63-pound shepherd mix waiting for an opportunity to show you that she has a lot of love to give that cannot be properly expressed and enjoyed living in a shelter. What she really wants is a family that is committed to her to call her own. Since she has received minimal formal training, she would benefit from a home that is willing to help her in this aspect. Generally Purdy is a carefree dog who enjoys playing with other dogs.

Purdy is anxiously awaiting her new family and has been spayed, vaccinated, heartworm tested and micro-chipped in anticipation of the big day when she will finally find a family of her own.

If interested in adopting Purdy or one of her furry friends, come to the Atlanta Humane Society Mansell Campus located at 1565 Mansell Rd, Alpharetta, GA 3009 for a β€œmeet and greet.” Please bring your whole family, four-legged members included, to meet Purdy and see if she is a perfect match.
