Queen of Angels Team Raises Money for Cancer Research

Roswell's Queen of Angels Catholic School recently participated in the CURE Childhood Cancer event, Lauren's Run.

Recently, a team from  raised money for the CURE Childhood Cancer's Lauren's Run.

It's a cause close to the heart of Annamarie Robb, the school’s Director of Development, who lost her 18-year-old son to cancer a few years ago. But the loss of Robb's son isn't the only cancer faced by a family at the school. Both Queen of Angels and its sister school, , have had past graduates succumb to and survive cancer, making Lauren's Run relevant to many.

On Sunday, May 1, the school's "Teaching Angels" team attended Lauren’s Run, which was founded in 1992 in memory of Sandy Springs resident Lauren Zagoria and another local child who also succumbed to cancer, Lauren Kochman. Following the run, the "Teaching Angels" team enjoyed an annual picnic at the Concourse Office Park.
