VIDEO: Relay for Life Participants Brave Rain, Raise Money
Relay for Life of Roswell was held Friday, April 27-28.
Roswell Relay for Life participants met at Friday night, April 27 and despite a thunderstorm the group raised funds to fight cancer.
Relay - a 12-hour event - supports cancer research, while celebrating cancer survivors and remembering those lost to the disease. As of Sunday, April 29, the event had raised $174,000, just $7,000 shy of its $181,000 goal.
Event organizers have until the end of August to raise and turn in funds toward this year's goal.
