Roswell's Kimberly-Clark Sponsors 'Power of Pink' Luncheon

Kimberly-Clark Health Care preps for North Fulton Hospital "Power of Pink" luncheon as the platinum sponsor.

Kimberly-Clark Health Care presented a check to North Fulton Hospital as the platinum sponsor of the "Power of Pink" luncheon, Friday, Sept. 23.

“We are proud to support North Fulton Hospital in its effort to care for the community”, said Joanne Bauer, president of Kimberly-Clark Health Care. “Giving back to the communities in which we live and work is an important part of being an employee here. It is rewarding to work with customers like North Fulton who share the same value”.

The special event raises money to support Susan G. Komen for the Cure through a silent auction, lunch and a breast cancer survivor fashion show.

"Power of Pink" is one of the first Susan G. Komen fundraising events to be held in North Fulton. It is a chance for the community to come together in support of the amazing women who have fought and survived breast cancer.

The money raised at "Power of Pink" will provide support to women who have been diagnosed with breast cancer, as well as to fund research to help find a cure. In fact, 75 percent of all funds raised for Komen Atlanta stay in the area and goes toward local screenings, treatment and support programs.

Kimberly-Clark Health Care is dedicated to improving the lives of families in their community. Their philanthropic efforts can be seen not only at "Power of Pink," but in many other programs in the North Fulton area.

“This year, North Fulton Hospital and our generous sponsors are taking a stand against breast cancer,” says Dr. Laura Rivers Pearson, Breast Surgeon and Medical Director of the North Fulton Hospital Breast Program. “Together we can help to increase awareness and help women understand the importance of screenings and physician examinations. Early detection can make all the difference.”
