The DoJo Holds 'Break-A-Thon,' Donates to North Fulton Community Charities
The karate center staff presented North Fulton Community Charities with a check for $4,295.50 last weekend.
The Crabapple Dojo made a sizeable donation to North Fulton Community Charities last weekend thanks to the "Break Through Hunger" charity event they hosted in mid-November.
Because staff at the karate center believe a major part of the martial arts is not only teaching, but giving back, the center held a board “Break-A-Thon” to raise money for the local non-profit's food pantry.
Students received pledges for every wooden board they broke. While the goal was only $1,000, with the help of 40 students, the center actually raised $4,295.50 to donate.
