From Golf Scramble to Holiday Appetizers

Here's a sampling of events and public meetings in Roswell this week.

Monday, Nov. 18

The Roswell High School wrestling and golf programs are holding a fundraising golf scramble Monday starting at 11 a.m. at Brookfield Country Club.

Author MernaLyn ("Meet the Diet Diva") is appearing at the Land of a Thousand Hills Coffeehouse at 6 p.m. 

She donates a percentage of the proceeds from every book sold at book signings 
directly to Alzheimer research.

Tuesday, Nov. 19

Munch & Learn at Barrington Hall starts at 12:15 p.m., and you bring your own luncj. Janet Rigsby, staff horticulturist, will explain various gardening topics and answer questions. Barrington Hall is located 535 Barrington Drive.

The Roswell Planning Commission will be reviewing the proposed Unified Development Code at its monthly meeting that starts at 7 p.m. in Council Chambers of City Hall, 38 Hill Street. 

Wednesday, Nov. 20

The Alpharetta-Roswell Newcomers Club monthly meeting starts at 10 a.m. at the Hembree Park Recreation Center 850 Hembree Road.

The Roswell Tap is the venue for a holiday recipe contest to benefit The Drake House. 

The "fun raiser" -- which requires contestants to use Jeff Foxworthy's grit chips as an ingredient -- starts at 6 p.m. Click here for more.

The Ann Jackson Gallery is holding its annual Dr. Seuss Holiday Show on Saturday from 12-8 p.m. and on Sunday from 12-5 p.m.
