Beware of T-SPLOST!

Think voting 'Yes' to T-SPLOST is the right thing to do? Think again. Don't be fooled.

With the endless , we are only getting one side of the story. But what are we not being told – particularly as Roswell/North Fulton residents who already pay a one-cent sales tax to support MARTA?

Now we are being asked to vote ourselves another one-cent tax to support another 'regional' program that is 50 percent transit oriented? Don't we already have transit? Only 15 percent of revenues collected will go toward traffic relief in our local area. Furthermore, local oversight will be extremely limited and the program will be administered by the Georgia Department of Transportation, arguably the most incompetent, dysfunctional and poorly managed organization in all of government.

A sub-group of the ARC, the Atlanta Regional Roundtable, developed the T-SPLOST project list for the Atlanta Region. The Fulton County representatives to the Atlanta Regional Roundtable are County Commission Chair John Eaves and Union City Mayor Ralph Moore. The final project list reflects the lack of Roswell/North Fulton representation – only .
