I honestly don't understand the bad reviews. I've been there twice this week and had a great experience both times. I went there on Monday after receiving a 50% off Entire Purchase coupon in the mail. I was worried after reading the reviews, but I got there and found NO exclusions! Their original prices are cheaper than Goodwill, so I certainly don't understand the complaints about price. You'd pay almost $6 for a dress at Goodwill, and between $4-$5 at PAT- before the discount. I went today (I saw an item on Monday that I've been kicking myself for not grabbing, so went back today to get it) and they had three- THREE!- color tags discounted at 50% off (compared to Goodwill's ONE discounted color tag). I saw tons of stuff in those colors- including the item I went back to buy. It takes a lot of time to look through everything, but I got lots of great deals, lots of name brands, and for really cheap. The biggest headache was waiting for a fitting room, but that is understandable on a coupon day. I also got a 50% off coupon to use on Sunday for Customer Appreciation. I am a huge Goodwill bargain hunter, but let's face it- 3 half-off color tags? 50% off coupon with no exclusions? Customer Appreciation coupon for another 50% off? Goodwill just doesn't compare. (Honestly, if you spend $1k in a thrift store every month, you really don't have a leg to stand on when complaining about their "high" prices.)

Have gone to Park Avenue Thrift in Acworth for several years and thought it was the greatest. However I live approx, 80 miles away and since they have changed their senior day pricing, I cannot justify paying full price and driving that far. Several of my friends and I made a day of shopping there on Wednesdays, but we haven't been back since the January change. Wish management would reconsider the 50% like it was before!

The new changes by management are blatantly stupid. It is almost like they are trying to go out of business. The 50% discount days are the ONLY thing that made this store successful. The prices are way too high without the discount, and not worth going there any more. They had something special, and killed it. Like the previous writer, I used to enjoy buying on Saturday or Sunday with the coupon. Now the management won't give you a 50% off "customer appreciation" coupon on Sunday. Like many people, I live too far away to go to their stores multiple times per week, and I don't live in a place that receives their red plum coupons in the mail. I used to shop at 3 of their stores and the outlet store once per week. I spent nearly $1000 per month at their stores (which is a fraction of what many Park Ave customers used to spend). Now I don't go at all. In fact, I am writing this on Sunday morning, when I used to be spending big bucks in your store, Park Ave. Your coupon days are what made you successful. Your current policies will cause you to go out of business..or at the very least loose alot of money. You should appreciate the people who made you successful. --
1. Give blue %50 off coupons ON SUNDAY to use the following Sunday. That way, people who live far away can use them.
2. Give green %50 off coupons at the outlet store so that your big buyers will have an incentive to shop on Saturday.
3. Give seniors a REAL %50 off day without exclusions.

The Senior discount day is a joke. Ever since Park Avenue Thrift opened I have enjoyed shopping on Wednesdays when Seniors were given a 50% discount on everything, which was really helpful to Seniors on fixed incomes. Some of the items are priced a bit high, but with the 50% discount, I could justify buying them. The store always had a lot of business on Senior day, and it was a fun outing.

However, as of January 23, 2013, that policy changed. Now seniors get 50% on their purchases UNLESS THE ITEMS HAVE CERTAIN COLOR TAGS, which are on pretty much everything. For example, I had a cart full of things, probably 20 - 30 items, and when I got to the cash register to pay I discovered that every single one had the color that did not get a Senior discount. Every single one. I had to put back a lot of things, many of which were things I was buying for my grandchildren.

There were a lot of Seniors who enjoyed their weekly outing even making friends with other regular shoppers, but now there's no point. The sales clerk said a lot of people have been shocked and disappointed with the change. I guess so. The giant signs that say Seniors get 50% off on Wednesdays are still in the store windows, but that is very misleading. I have heard there was a new manager. Whoever made this change needs to rethink it. Don't take away this fun day from Seniors, Park Avenue Thrift.

Great store with really nice items. Super clean and it doesn't smell! Not crazy about the new system because I can never remember to print out the 50% off coupon....perfer the color system! Overall a place to find really nice clothes and great prices!

Love this place. Super clean, super friendly, and super versatile. I outfitted my 22 year old daughter with a full business wardrobe for about $50. Most of my running skirts come from here as well.

I always seem to be able to find what I'm looking for at this location in Roswell. I'm dieting and bring my big clothes here and look for replacements here. I cannot see spending my hard earned money for something new at the mall when I know I can find it here at a lot less money. I've been here multiple times and the employees are friendly and the store is VERY clean.

The Park Avenue Thrift store is a great, upscale thrift store specializing in high quality clothing. I buy all of my children's clothes there and splurge on my self from time to time. The manager is very thoughtful and helpful.
