I’m a developmental psychologist with a child enrolled in VMS for over 2 years. I was initially impressed with VMS after speaking to the toddler teacher who explained how the Montessori curriculum and environment facilitates independent yet supportive social, emotional, and academic growth. I felt like I was talking to a fellow colleague instead of a teaching professional! I immediately enrolled my toddler and have been thrilled with VMS ever since. The teachers and staff are knowledgeable, compassionate, patient, and supportive. They take time to speak to parents at least quarterly about the development of each individual child. I’ve even receive phone calls from my child’s teacher about her “off” days and ways we can collaboratively support her when she’s not feeling well. They also offer group classes on various developmental topics. I highly recommend this pre-school to any parent.

Qualified and caring teachers and administrators make this a very special place for my daughter. The education philosophy is compassionate, and it works.

Our children have been attending Village Montessori for 10 years and the experience has been outstanding. Of primary importance to us is the calibre and quality of the entire school staff (from the front desk to the teachers, owners and administrators) interacting with our children in these very formative years. Children simply thrive in the atmosphere of VMS. They enjoy learning, they explore, ask questions, develop friendships and life long skills of accountability, self management and respect for others. Laughter rings out from each classroom and all over the playground. The VMS child is a well mannered, well disciplined child with a natural sense of curosity and an insatiable appetite for learning and innovation. As a family we have felt very included in our sons' school, communication is open and transparent. VMS utilizes technology effectively to keep us up to speed and to manage school activities. All staff make a point to know and care for each child and for the family. Such a comprehensive approach to early child education that is true to the principals of Maria Montessori has resulted in an impressive track record of ex students who have had the choice of the best schools in Atlanta and beyond.

The real deal. I have been around the world and seen schools in every different setting. Village Montessori brings it all together with teachers carefully selected at each age level, an administration working very closely with teachers and parents. Well thought out and managed structure and orderliness in literally every corner of the school. My career has been helping world class organizations build a culture of continuous learning and improvement... it always starts on a foundation of dedication to people, well defined systems and standards, and then endless rounds of discovery and improvement all set in the safe medium of open trusting communication and respect. Maria Montessori established a template for this in education...Village Montessori truly delivers on this. Our son started here at 24 months, he is a bright cookie anyway, but the timing was perfect, he blossoms at this early age with a love of school, and solid foundation of responsibility, confidence and choices. You see this calm orderly 'togetherness' in all the children at all levels. We have visited many schools that claim montessori or that describe other experience based education but which fail to bring it all together. We could not be happier.
