Doggie Duo Looking for a Home to Share

Meet Foxy and Wesley, a bonded pair of Lab/Retriever mixed dogs who are looking for and needing a home together. Foxy is a female, approximately 7 years old, who weighs about 69 pounds, and Wesley, her brother, who is around 8 years old, weighs around 73 pounds. When they came to Angels Among Us Pet Rescue, both were overfed and overweight from an owner who pampered them and overfed them, but both have lost weight and are now at very good weights for their breed.  Foxy and Wesley were raised by a very loving, caring owner who unfortunately had to give them up at Thanksgiving last year due to a very invasive and fast-moving cancer.  She loved them dearly but could no longer care for them. Zoey Looking For a Family to Call Her Own

Lab/Terrier mix available for adoption through Angels Among Us.

Meet sweet Zoey Aurelia, a female Lab/Terrier mix female who is between 1-2 years old. Zoey is looking for a new home and family to call her very own. You see, sweet Zoey once had a little family of her own but lost them due to some sad circumstances in her former life.  Angels Among Us Pet Rescue was trying to save both Zoey and her pups, but her previous owners gave away her 4-week old puppies, then Zoey was later picked up by County Animal Control as a stray in Winder, and Angels was able to rescue her just hours before she was due to be put to sleep.  Unfortunately, her puppies were never located, but Zoey Aurelia's life was saved that day and now she's ready to have a new family to call her very own.  She is a lively, energetic girl …

Loverboy Romeo Needs New Family

Cat in need of home, named because of loving personality.

Angels Among Us Pet Rescue volunteers were very disappointed to receive a call from the adopters of Romeo, one of our all-time favorite cats, asking us to take him back. Three-year-old Romeo, a Russian Blue Mix, was adopted out two years ago to what we thought was his forever home. Sadly, his owners have fallen on financial hard times and their personal circumstances led to their difficult decision to relinquish Romeo back to us.  We gave Romeo his name because of his super loving personality. He loves to be with people, and one of the photos show him standing on his hind legs in order to be petted by his foster provider. Sweet Applesauce Looking For A Home

Bulldog mix is 9 months old.

Meet Applesauce, a 9-month old female English Bulldog mix who is as sweet as her name. This girl was brought into a county shelter as a stray, and was found to be extremely underweight, with mange and ear infections.  The day this baby was due to be euthanized, one of Angels Among Us Pet Rescue's volunteers spent a good deal of time with her and fell totally in love with her sweet and innocent personality and loving ways. Literally minutes before her time, Applesauce was saved by Angels Among Us Pet Rescue and is now thriving in a loving, safe foster home.  Applesauce is great with other dogs - she literally follows them around and just loves to be with them. Perfect Companion Dog Needs Home

Eli, 11 months, is loving and loyal.

Meet Eli, an 11-month old Boykin Spaniel/Irish Setter mix. Eli is a wonderful fellow who's a "teenager" in dog years and is looking for that perfect home to grow into an adult version of the handsome boy he is today. Lovable Coonhound-Lab-Boxer Mix Ready for Adoption

"Socks" is good with children, house trained and up-to-date on her shots.

This is "Socks,"a sweet, loving female Coonhound-Lab-Boxer mix. It's easy to see how she got her name by the beautiful white on the bottom of all her feet. Socks is a larger dog, but she thinks she is a "small" dog because she loves to crawl across your lap and be hugged and loved on all the time. Socks is a little shy at first, but if anyone wanting to meet this terrific dog will just get down low, on Socks' level, she will come right to you for some loving scratches and petting.   Socks is about two years old and is good with kids. 'Supermodel' Pups Need a Home

Ava and Araceli are loving Chihuahua-Miniature Pincher 'designer dogs.'

Ava and Araceli were surrendered through no fault of their own. Their 85-year-old former owner was forced into a nursing home and then her family took her five beloved Chihuahuas to a kill shelter to be put to sleep. Luckily, Angels Among Us Pet Rescue saved these sweet girls and their brothers the very morning that was scheduled to happened. Araceli, who is seven months old and about seven pounds of sheer joy and love, possesses a shining and gregarious personality. She loves to cuddle and insists on following her "person" everywhere. She is a real survivor – facing death while battling a terrible bout of the deadly parvovirus. Homes Urgently Needed for Island Cats

Oreo and Banshee are friendly and personable.

Angels Among Us Pet Rescue is trying to help two very friendly and personable cats from a neighboring state who urgently need good homes. The request for assistance came from one of the rescue group's volunteers who is vacationing on Daufuskie Island in South Carolina. There are a number of managed feral cat colonies on the island, and their residents include Banshee and Oreo, two very friendly and domesticated cats who were most likely abandoned when their owners left the island. These guys are the favorite of the island's volunteer colony feeders, as they are super affectionate and run up for petting and attention whenever someone approaches them. Floyd, Young Yellow Lab, Needs Home

This gorgeous young pup is named Floyd. He's a medium sized, young yellow lab mix who weighs around 50 pounds and is approximately two years of age.  This boy had a tough life prior to being rescued by Angels Among Us from a heart-sick facility in Georgia. Morgan: 'Lost Doggy Soul' Needs Forever Home

Morgan is “nobody's dog.”   She once had a family of some sort, but she lost them along the way. She was dumped and forgotten at a rural shelter in North Georgia, where most animals never see anyone coming through the door, looking to give them a home. But on what was to be Morgan’s last day on earth, someone did come….a volunteer from Angels Rescue changed Morgan’s fate that day by rescuing her from death.
