Atlanta Dance Central Camps to Keep Students Moving this Summer

Find classes and camps for ages ages 2.5 through adult.

Atlanta Dance Central knows how important it is to keep students active and learning, even during their vacation time, which is why the Roswell studio will be offering a variety of camps, intensives and classes throughout the summer for students, according to information provided by the studio.  Day camps include exciting themes such as "Fancy Nancy," "Shake it Up!," and "American Girl." The studio will also be offering a two week summer intensive where students will learn from professional dancers around the Atlanta area. Summer intensive students will also get to perform their own choreography in a free show that is open to the public at 7 Stages Theater in Atlanta, says the press release. Local Dance Company Donates Tickets to Students

The tickets to a show featuring some Atlanta Dance Central students were donated with the hope that families begin a tradition of including the arts in their holiday plans.

SIDEWAYS Contemporary Dance Company believes the arts are an important part of the season and has donated over 200  tickets to their upcoming show to local dance students. SIDEWAYS will hold their annual holiday show, “Once Upon a Holiday, A Festive Twist on the Story of Alice in Wonderland” Dec. 14 and 15 at 8 p.m.,  and Dec. 15 and 16 at 3 p.m. The show will be performed at 7 Stages Theater in Little Five Points in Atlanta and will feature over 25 students from Atlanta Dance Central and other Roswell dance studios! SIDEWAYS performance is a funny, heartwarming jumble of Alice and Wonderland and the Nutcracker, and includes a large variety of holiday music from Tchaikovsky to Elvis. Foster-Schmidt Dance Academy for Down Syndrome Performs in 'Frankenstein’s Frolic'

Stop by Atlanta Dance Central in Roswell to see a performance or take in the carnival, Oct. 28.

Eight students in the Foster-Schmidt Dance Academy for Down Syndrome will be performing alongside professional members of SIDEWAYS Contemporary Dance Company in “Frankentstein’s Frolic,” a Halloween themed carnival and performance on Oct. 28, at Atlanta Dance Central.  Students from the Foster-Schmidt Dance Academy for Down Syndrome, directed by Charlotte Foster, have been working hard in their weekly dance classes to learn choreography and develop their characters for the performance. Students from Atlanta Rising Talent Dance Company will also be performing in this quirky show. The carnival will be from 11:30 a.m. – 4 p.m. with performances at 12:00, 1:30 p.m. and 3 p.m. The event is expected to be fun for all ages. Join us for Halloween …
