While most Americans are familiar with the popular show "Dancing with the Stars," there is another colorful and just as mesmerizing dance world local residents can sway to without heading to Hollywood. It's called Bharatanatyam, and it's coming to Roswell. The Soundarya Natyalaya dance institution, located in neighboring Marietta, isn't your typical round-the-corner dance studio. Its name comes from the Sanskrit word meaning "A Beautiful Place" and within the studio's walls are powerful and passionate teachers of the self-described "pure and traditional" Bharatanatyam-style dance instruction.
