Big box stores aren't the only ones offering Black Friday specials, the locally owned Sedgwick Restaurant Group has a deal for gift-givers this Friday too. The local restaurant group, owned by Chris and Michele Sedgwick, will offer 25 percent more value added to the purchase of any new gift cards. The offer is only good at four of the group's restaurants, including bistro VG in Roswell, Aspens Signature Steaks in Marietta, Theo's Brother's Bakery in Alpharetta andVinny's on Windward in Alpharetta. Black Friday shopping isn't for the faint of heart. But if you're already ad prioritizing and store strategizing, the fact that several area big-box retailers are gearing up to open their doors even earlier this year - starting Thanksgiving Day - won't surprise you. Last week, Walmart announced that it would open its doors at 8 p.m. on that Thursday, Nov. 22 and offer holiday doorbusters, while supplies last.
