Ezra is a beautiful grey and white domestic shorthair mix who has been residing at the Atlanta Humane Society since early March. She is full of energy and spunk and is ready to find a home where she can get exercise, playtime and love. One of Ezra’s outstanding features is her petite face with large green eyes and a little grey splotch just to the side of her multi-colored nose. Ezra is known by volunteers and staff at the Atlanta Humane Society as being both playful and loving with stuffed mice being her favorite toys! She is a gentle cat with a sweet disposition and enjoys being petted and cuddled. Ezra is loving and affectionate with her humans but would prefer to be the only cat in the household. Some black shelter cats find it hard to stand out among a crowd of kitties due to their solid color and, unfortunately, often get overlooked because of this. However, Rupert a black domestic shorthair mix at the Atlanta Humane Society’s Mansell Campus can’t help but stand out due to his energetic and fun personality. At almost two years old he is still a young man with a mischievous side who loves to play. He is frequently seen peering out from under his homemade kitty tent he creates from his paper liner. Rupert thinks this is very sneaky! He also loves to play with fishing pole feather toys and is always ready for some fun. This handsome man would do best in a home without other cats but don’t worry he will have enough love and spirit …

Cat Suffers Paralysis from Shooting When his cat came home dragging its right hind leg up the stairs limply behind it, a Roswell resident rushed his kitten to a local animal hospital - where vets told him the cat had been shot. The attending veterinarian told Roswell Police that some kind of projectile from a BB or pellet gun was still lodged in the cat's body. Nerve damage had caused the back right leg to go limp with paralysis. The local man said he often saw a neighbor in his apartment complex on the balcony with a rifle of some kind, which was confirmed by a second neighbor, according to the police report. Police are still investigating the case and the cat's owner has said he will prosecute whomever is alledged to have shot the animal…

Can you adopt Tatiana?
Beautiful Tatiana ended up at a county animal control facility with a bleak future. However, the staff at this facility liked her so much that they reached out to Angels Among Us Pet Rescue to see if we could find room for one more kitty. And are we glad that one of our treasured foster providers stepped up for this sweet little girl. Tatiana is so anxious to show her appreciation for being safe and loved that she stays underfoot all the time, and her foster mom and dad have to be careful not to trip over the grateful kitty. She just can't get enough petting and being held, and loves to play with her foster humans as well as sleep with them. This is a cat who will easily bond with her new owner or owners. Tatiana is only nine months old …

Eden is a sweet, calico cat who was transferred to the Mansell Road Atlanta Humane Society from a shelter in Alabama which no longer had space for her. Since she has been with us she has started to come out of her shell but is still a timid, shy cat. She is beautiful with a tri-color orange, black and white coat and the quietest meow to fit her gentle demeanor. She is a petite adult cat weighing six pounds at just over one year old. Little Eden is generally shy about meeting people but is currently living in a room with other cats and has adjusted very well to her kitty friends. They are helping her learn to be more brave and affectionate with people. Eden would love to get adopted with a friend or come to your home as the second cat. …

Angels Among Us Pet Rescue in North Fulton wants so much to find a loving family for Agatha, a personable 5-year-old Persian mix. You see, this poor girl has lost one home after another, and she so much deserves to find a truly "forever" home. Beautiful Agatha had started off happily enough with a family who adopted her from a shelter, but then their personal circumstances changed and she found herself without a home. Angels Among Us Pet Rescue took her into its adoption program about a year ago. Twice they thought she had been adopted. Everything seemed to be working out great both times, but a health crisis occurred in both households...and she ended back up with the group. The Atlanta Humane Society's Mansell Campus has now officially opened, and the center's staff and volunteers are hoping that our very first cat to enter our adoption program at this faciity will find a home very soon. Roswell is a beautiful multi-colored guy, with extraordinary blue eyes! Visitors to our new center have marvelled about this beautiful boy's saphire eyes. Even more importantly, however, is the super sweet personality of this lovely young adult cat. Initially reserved with new people, his vistors find that he quickly loses his reservations, and absolutely adores petting and brushing.
