Summer Cooking Classes Scheduled at Barrington Hall

Chef John Wilson will lead locals in learning to make summer favorites.

Want to learn to make tamales? How about spiced cornish game hens? Both are on the schedule for Chef John Wilson's summer cooking classes at Barrington Hall. Taught out of the historic home's spacious kitchen, students will learn how to prepare a full meal - from main course to dessert - while they explore recipes from American, classic European and international cuisines. Each class takes place on a Tuesday night from 6:30 p.m.-9:30 p.m. Here's the lineup: Each class costs $50/person and includes all materials, plus food. Guests will sample their creations throughout the evening, while enjoying complimentary wine. A free mini tour of Barrington Hall is also included. Roswell Chef Shares Recipes on YouTube

Barrington Hall's resident Chef John Wilson demonstrates some easy recipes on Roswell's YouTube channel.

Whipping up the perfect meal just got easier thanks to “Just A Taste” - Barrington Hall’s first cooking show series. Filmed in the historic home’s kitchen, “Just A Taste” features five short instructional videos hosted by Chef John Wilson, including: Videos and recipes are available on the city's website. RCTV will air one video a month for the next five months. Wilson, the owner of Culinary Vacations, Inc., is a certified chef and graduate of the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, N.Y. He is the Culinary Director for Perimeter College in Atlanta and hosts cooking classes throughout the year at Barrington Hall on Tuesdays from 6:30 p.m.-9:30 p.m. The cost for each class is $50 per person and includes all materials and food. Barrington Hall Announces Summer Cooking Classes

Chef John Wilson will teach favorite and new classes this summer.

Barrington Hall will continue its 2012 cooking class season with Chef John Wilson this summer. Wilson will draw upon his many years as a professional chef and cooking class teacher to present a mixed bag of old favorites and new and exciting cooking classes. Participants will learn to prepare a full meal from main course to dessert in the spacious kitchen of the historic Roswell home. Wilson teaches cooking techniques in European, International and American cuisines. Following the instruction, participants will dine on the meal prepared.
