Visit 300 Colleges Without Ever Leaving Home

College Week Live is holding what it calls the world's largest virtual college fair on Tuesday and Wednesday, with more than 300 colleges participating. The University of West Georgia is participating in its first virtual college fair on Wednesday, March 21 and Thursday, March 22. It's one of nine Georgia colleges participating. The fair offers prospective students information and a chance at $1,000 scholarship. Students can learn more about UWG as well as more than 300 other schools who will be chatting all day. Live chats will be devoted to answering questions about the admissions process, program information, and student life. UGA Ranks Sixth in Value Among Public Universities and Colleges

The University of Georgia has been ranked sixth this year by Kiplinger’s Personal Finance Magazine in a list of 100 best values for public universities and colleges. The top 100 were culled from a list of 500. Helping to determine value included in-state and out-of-state costs, average debt upon graduation, academic rigor, faculty-to-student ratio and financial aid, among other factors The list was released Tuesday electronically and is available online. It will be featured in the February edition of the print magazine. Ranked number one in terms of value--for both in-state and out-of-state students--was the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, for the 11th straight year.
