Death Cab for Cutie Visits Alpharetta Thursday for Concert
Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre hosts second of three concerts this week.
Are you a Death Cab for Cutie fan? Will you be attending Thursday night's concert at Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre in Alpharetta? The band's Chris Walla has characterized its sixth studio album, Narrow Stairs, as "having teeth." Band promoters say the album doesn't try to recreaate the success of hit songs such as "Soul Meets Body" or 'I Will Follow You Into the Dark," but has instead crafted an ambitious and varied album that refuses to pander. The band formed in Bellingham, WA a decade ago. The members spent much of 2006 in a turbulent tour cycle surrounding its RIAA platinum, Grammy-nominatd album Plans.
