When I told my husband I planned to write a couple of columns about homemade gifts for the holiday season, he made a face.  "Homemade?" he replied, with a look that said "please tell me you're kidding, right?" That was before I showed him the first project:  my less than $5 double chocolate fudge cheesecake cookie sandwiches.  It was definitely love at first bite!  Cookie sandwiches are not unique.  That's what makes this a great homemade gift idea.  After all, who can resist the combination of two yummy double chocolate fudge cookies filled with a homemade cream cheese icing?  It's the grown-up version of an Oreo!
