Announce Your Easter Egg Hunt

Is your church, organization or business hosting an Easter Egg hunt around Roswell this month?

This year Easter falls on March 31, which means it’s just around the corner. If your church, organization or business is hosting an Easter Egg hunt leading up to the holiday, announce it for free on Roswell Patch. Here’s how: 1. Make sure you’re signed in under your Patch account. 2. Click on the Roswell Patch Event Calendar and click on “add an event” 3. Fill out the fields, including the title, date, times, description and address. (Patch tip: Fill in the address form with the complete street address. Something Old, Something New at Naylor Hall

Sunny and David Bailey realized their dream of purchasing Naylor Hall three years ago. Last week, they realized another dream of buying original artwork from a Dutch artist.

For 20 years, Sunny Bailey led guests through Naylor Hall's 19th-century rooms covered in forest green carpet. In between organizing weddings, bar mitvahs and corporate parties, she discreetly lifted a corner of the rug to make sure the original hardwoods were there. They were. Then three years ago, Bailey finally realized a longtime dream. She and her husband, David, purchased the antebellum mansion that sits on Canton Street, just down from most of the restaurants. One of the first things they did was pull up the carpet and restore the original heart pine floorboards. Since buying Naylor Hall, Sunny’s job has not changed. Roswell Celebrates Public Works, Holds Touch-a-Truck Event

The city will hold a special Touch-a-Truck event to celebrate National Public Works Week, which takes place next week.

To kick off National Public Works Week, May 20 – 26, the city of Roswell Public Works/Environmental, Community Development and Transportation departments will host a Touch-A-Truck event at Roswell City Hall this Saturday. The Touch-A-Truck event provides the opportunity for citizens of all ages to see firsthand the equipment used to provide necessary services to their families. Bring the kids and explore the mysterious workings of the street sweeper, or watch up close just how the sanitation truck works. There will be something for everyone to learn at this event, Saturday May 19. But the fun doesn't end there. And for FY 2013 the Roswell Solid Waste Fund shows $6.7 million in reserves from overcharging customers. So not only have they been overcharging water customers they have been doing the same to it trash customers. No wonder they can spend our money on "Dog & Pony" shows!
