Roswell Police are currently investigating the death of a man after being called to a local home by nearby neighbors who reported hearing multiple gunshots Friday night, March 15. Police discovered a domestic dispute had been the cause of the gunfire when they arrived to 1455 Ridgefield Drive around 8:40 p.m, according to information released by the department. Further information supplied by police stated after the girlfriend ran from the house unharmed, her boyfriend began to shoot at police and they fired back. Following the North Fulton SWAT team and negotiators arrival on the scene, the body of the suspect was found inside the home. The Georgia Bureau of Investigation was notified and will be investigating the incident.

The Cumming pastor was let go after the mistaken identity was realized.
After leaving SharpShooters gun range in Roswell, a Cumming pastor was pulled over at gunpoint by Alpharetta Police after they mistook him for an armed robber on Feb. 16, reports wsbtv.com. God's House of Prayer Pastor Boyd Allen was with two friends on Alpharetta Highway when one of the friends realized they had left a newly purchased gun on top of the car and got out to retrieve it. Seeing the gun on top of the car, a concerned witness called police and that's what caused the confusion, according to the wsbtv.com report. Roswell Police are looking for a white male in his 20s.
An attempted robbery of a Barrington Farms resident returning home from the store on Tuesday, Jan. 15, has the local community shaken up and on guard. According to Roswell Police Spokeswoman Lisa Holland, officers responded to a call from the victim in reference to an armed robbery. "The victim said she was unloading groceries from her car in her garage. On her second trip, the suspect appeared in the garage with a handgun and demanded money," said Holland. Local residents were taken back by a man pointing a gun at people in a local apartment complex.
Several people called Roswell Police after a hooded man in a gray sweater was see pointing a handgun at passing cars around the Berkshires at Nesbit Ferry area on Friday, Nov. 4. One upset witness told police she had been approaching a speed bump within the complex when a man matching the gunman's description jumped out of a vehicle and began running toward her, as if he was going to cross in front of her car. She slowed the car to let him cross, but it was at that moment the man pulled a gun from his waistband and aimed it at her. The witness sped away quickly. A Facebook post has police looking into whether a student might actually bring a gun to Crabapple Middle School.
UPDATE: Aug. 16; 11:22 a.m. - Despite threats to the contrary, Crabapple Middle School got off to a great start yesterday, although the Roswell Police Department is still looking into who might have hacked into a student's Facebook account and wrote threatening posts toward another student, according to WSBTV.
