Roswell's own "Future Star Gymnasts" Kofi Reeves-Miller, 10, Justin Ah Chow, 11, and Patrick Kramer, 12, each qualified to participate in the National Future Stars meet in Colorado Springs, CO during November. Fifty Region 8 Future Star gymnasts competed at the Roswell Recreation & Parks Gymnastics Center on Oct. 6 to qualify for the National competition. "The competition in Region 8 is always challenging and we are so proud of our Future Stars, and their coaches, for qualifying for Nationals," said Ben Wood, director of Roswell Men’s Gymnastics Team since 1998. One of the best gymnastics programs in the state--and maybe the country--is located in Roswell and they've got the championships to prove it.
You wouldn't know it by its exterior, but one of the buildings in Roswell Area Park is the home of champions. Inside the Physical Activity Center at the Woodstock Road park hangs over 70 banners proving the success of the program it houses. It's the home of Roswell Gymnastics, one of the best gymnastics teams in the state, if not the country. Since 1974 Roswell Gymnastics has been coaching everything from  two- and three-year-olds learning the basics of gymnastics to highly competitive and skilled forms of the sport through age 18.
