Price To Face A Democrat From Roswell or Alpharetta

Tom Price will face a Democratic challenger in the November General Election, though it appears he is unopposed in the July Republican Primary.

Congressman Tom Price, a Republican from Roswell, is certain to face a Democratic challenger in the November General Election–but apparently he won't have an opponent in the Republican Primary July 31. Price, the incumbent Sixth Congressional District U.S. Representative, filed for to keep his post on Wednesday, May 25. Robert Montigel, an Alpharetta small business owner, and Jeff Kazanow, a Roswell business consultant, qualified on Wednesday and Friday, respectively. The filing deadline was at noon on Friday, May 25, so these may be the final qualifiers for U.S. Congress and the Georgia General Assembly. Roswell Rep Looks Forward to Finding New Economic Opportunities for Georgia

Rep. Harry Geisinger will be working on a study investigating the benefits of bringing horse racing industry to Georgia.

As the chairman of a state-appointed study committee on the matter, Rep. Harry Geisinger, of Roswell, is committed to finding out if the horse racing industry could benefit Georgia's economy. "I believe the statistical value to Georgia is high," he said.  Geisinger, a proponent of bringing the industry to Georgia, has been informally investigating its economic benefits for the past three years, he said. But it wasn't until the formation of the six-member study committee, just recently, that Geisinger and several others were given the authorization to move forward with the official study.
