The First Alive After 5 of the Season brought out Roswell residents to enjoy the nice weather, restaurants, shops and lots of activities.
Historic Roswell was filled with people Thursday night, April 19, as people came out for the first Alive After 5 event of the year. There was live music, outdoor vendors, dogs for adoption and snowcones. Here is a look at some of the festivities.

Alive After 5 kicks off for the season tonight, Thursday, April 19, in historic Roswell. There will be activities on Canton Street – including outdoor vendors, balloons, four live bands and a free trolley that will drop people off at different locations. Many retailers and art galleries also stay open late. The event, in its seventh year, draws crowds to Roswell’s historic district and runs every third Thursday through October. Tonight’s event is from 5 to 9 pm. Various business and community organizations will also be distributing information and giveaways. Roswell's Relay for Life will have "Plum Fun For Relay" in the Plum Tree Village area. They are offering various things for sale, including: car raffle tickets, Relay for Life …

The Fickle Pickle Cafe held its first annual fried pickle eating contest Thursday night in honor of National Pickle Month.
Three competitors met yesterday evening in the heart of historic Roswell to prove their pickle eating prowess in The Fickle Pickle Café’s first annual Cajun Fried Pickle Eating Competition, held in honor of July's National Pickle Month. Corey Gearhart, Logan Gearhart and Ian Hamlett faced off on The Fickle Pickle’s porch as customers, friends, family and restaurant staff looked on. There was light hearted joking between the Gearharts. “You can’t really believe you’ll be able to out eat a 16-year-old Dad,” Logan teased.
