Local residents and passers-through Roswell could begin to see signs of progress surrounding the Holcomb Bridge Road/Ga 400 interchange in 2014, according to the city. Enhancements to the heavily congested interchange have long been demanded by commuters, but never actually funded - until now. "As a general summary, you should see construction activity starting as early as next summer," said Roswell Department of Transportation Director Steve Acenbrak. The initiative as a whole is being treated as three separate bond projects, according to Acenbrak. Just to the north of Roswell's Holcomb Bridge Road exit on Georgia 400, a new interchange at McGinnis Ferry Road, in south Forsyth County, may be on the horizon, according to a press release from the Georgia House of Representatives. The Georgia Department of Transportation on Thursday approved an Interchange Justification Report (IJR) on the proposed project much to the delight of the Forsyth County Legislative Delegation.
