School Board to Hold May Community Meetings

Linda Schultz will hold a meeting Tuesday, May 15 at Hembree Springs Elementary School.

Linda Schultz, who represents Roswell on the Fulton County Board of Education, will host a community meeting this week. The meeting provides an opportunity for direct contact with school board members, giving them a chance to listen to local issues and concerns, according to Fulton County Schools. Schultz Re-Elected President of School Board

Linda Shultz will serve another two-year term as president.

The first official Board of Education meeting of 2013 resulted in a new look for the board table with new officers and three members beginning new four-year terms. Outgoing president Linda Schultz, who represents District 1, which covers most of Roswell, was re-elected president of the Fulton County Board of Education for a two-year term. Linda McCain, who represents District 5, was elected to a one-year term as vice president. President Schultz was first elected to the school board in 2005 and represents areas in Alpharetta, Milton and Roswell. During her time on the board, Schultz has pushed for the involvement of parents in local school governance as well as for the increased use of technology to meet learning needs. In addition, she …

I agree Matt. I will get out and vote July 31st. But not for Linda. I respect her dedication and pleasant demeanor. But have you seen the statistics for Fulton County Schools lately? Fulton County School Board President Linda Schultz, who represents Roswell, will start hold community meetings again once school starts back in August.

Each member of the Fulton County Board of Education sponsors a monthly meeting open to all members of the community. The sessions provide an opportunity for direct contact with community members and give board members a chance to listen to local issues and concerns.
