Roswell Artist Wins Prestigious Award
Galina Herndon's painting will be the symbol for the 2013 Decatur Arts Festival.
Roswell artist Galina Herndon's original painting, entitled "Fall Ride," has been selected to be the 25th Silver Anniversary poster and t-shirt of the Decatur Arts Festival. The painting by Herndon, who has a studio at Elegant Attic in Roswell, was selected by a jury of judges with over 163 entries for the festival, which will be held May 25-26. A native of Russia, Herndon teaches painting classes and sells her one-of-a-kind original art and limited edition prints at Elegant Attic. "We are so excited to have Galina here at our shop," said Elegant Attic owner Nora Maccaro.
