Lady Paladins Play in State Championship Saturday

The game will be played at Kennesaw State University's Fifth Third Stadium on May 18 at noon.

Fellowship Christian School's Lady Paladins have advanced to the 1A soccer state championship for the second year in a row. The game will be played at Kennesaw State University's Fifth Third Stadium on Saturday, May 18 at noon. Paladin fans are asked to wear navy blue for 'true blue fan day' as a show of support.

Fellowship Hires Pair of Assistant Football Coaches

Ryan Zimmerman named defensive coordinator; Dan Parsons joins the Paladins as backs Coach.

Fellowship Christian School has hired former Georgia State assistant coach Ryan Zimmerman as its defensive coordinator and Dan Parsons as the Paladins backs coach. Ryan Zimmerman Zimmerman, a native of Gainesville, brings nine and a half years of coaching experience to FCS. He joined the Georgia State University program in 2009 after spending five years as a high school coach at his alma-mater West Hall High School (1999-2002) and East Hall School (2005). Those teams reached the playoffs in four out of five years in three different classifications (AA/AAA/AAAA). Zimmerman helped coach and develop more than 20 collegiate signees from those schools. Fellowship Falls to First Presbyterian Day School in Finals

The Lady Paladins fell to First Presbyterian Day School on Saturday, May 19, 1-0.

The courageous Lady Paladins played hard, but came up a little short in the championship match up against First Presbyterian Day School on Saturday, May 19, losing 1-0.   Wearing all white, the FCS fans packed the stands in full support of their soccer team in what was dubbed a 'white out.' It was a high spirited game with plenty of fierce plays but luckily no injuries. At the end of the night eight seniors left Paladin field for the final time.  "There were more smiles than tears as they said goodbye though," said team photographer Lisa Webb. "They all recognized what an accomplishment it was just making it to state finals."

Paladins Girls Soccer Team Head to Semifinals Wednesday

The girls won the game against Aquinas School this past Saturday, May 12; allowing them to move on to the state semifinals.

Fellowship Christian School Paladins are still on the road to a much desired state championship after an impressive 7-0 win over the visiting Aquinas School from Augusta, Saturday, May 12. The team - which is led by eight seniors - has been knocked out of the state tournament by the eventual state champion each of the last two years, including a loss in the semifinals last year. Although the whole team has worked hard to get where they are now, the three Division One signees showed up strong Saturday as Emma Sonnet (ESPN ranked 89) led the defense to another shutout, Elizabeth Johnson (ESPN ranked 106) scored an early first half goal and Emily Sonnett (ESPN ranked 22) led the offense with five goals. Fellowship Wraps Up Season with 40-6 Win over SACA

Another successful chapter in Fellowship Christian School football history has been completed.

Led by a spirited group of nine seniors playing their final game, the Fellowship Christian Paladins won a  40-6 region crossover victory over Southwest Atlanta Christian at Paladin Field to wrap up a 5-5 season. It marks the first time in school history the team has finished with an actual .500 record and is only the third time the Paladins have reached five wins in a season. The Paladins (5-5 overall and 1-5 in Region play in 2011) set a school record with an 11-2 mark in 2007 and finished 5-6 in 2005. “The seniors have set the bar high here,” FCS head coach Hunter Chadwick said after the game. “They helped me roam the hallways and encourage the younger kids to play football. Paladins Look for Fifth Win Tonight

FCS travels to Pace Academy on Friday night in road finale game.

The Fellowship Christian School varsity football team is looking to reach five wins in a season for only the third time in school history as the club enters Friday night’s game at Pace Academy. The Paladins, who will host Southwest Atlanta Christian Academy at Paladin Field in a crossover game on Friday, Nov. 4 at 4 p.m., posted a school-best 11-2 record in 2007. FCS has now recorded four victories in one season four times in school history, including this season’s 4-4 mark. The school posted a 4-6 record in 2008, finished 4-7 in 2006 and went 5-6 in 2005. Fellowship Celebrates Senior Night Victory

The Paladins downed Southwest Atlanta Christian Academy 30-18 to improve record to 4-4.

Senior quarterback Blais Furse rushed for three touchdowns to lead Fellowship Christian School to a 30-18 victory over Southwest Atlanta Christian Academy of College Park at Paladin Field Friday on Senior Night. The Paladins took leads of 21-6 in the second quarter and 23-12 on a safety with 1:45 left in the third quarter as they improved to 4-4 with two games to play. The Paladins travel to Pace Academy on Friday, Oct. 28, looking to reach five wins in a season for the first time since the school finished 11-2 in 2007. Fellowship Christian Wins Battle of Paladins

FCS snaps two game skid with 21-14 victory over Pinecrest Academy Paladins.

Friday’s victory gives the Fellowship Christian School Paladins three wins in a season for the first time since the club finished 4-6 in 2008. And that makes Fellowship Christian School varsity football coach Hunter Chadwick very happy. “It does feel good to be 3-and-2,” Chadwick said after Friday night’s 21-14 victory over Pinecrest Academy. “But I try not to focus on the scoreboard or our record too much. Getting better each week is what we strive for. And we are getting better every week.” FCS, 1-2 in Region play this season, is coming off consecutive 2-8 campaigns, including Chadwick’s first year as head coach in 2009.
