Local leaders considered a recent luncheon geared toward property investors a step in the right direction for economic development.
The Roswell Business Alliance (RBA), in partnership with Progress Partners of Greater North Fulton and the city of Roswell, hosted "Building Opportunity Roswell" at Little Alley Steak on Canton Street last week. New owners are shopping the 106 acre property.
The site where the controversial mixed-use Roswell East project was once proposed is back on the market. The Pinnacle Companies, of Montclair, N.J., is currently shopping the 106 acre Kings Bridge apartment complex and adjacent land just east of Ga. 400 to developers who might set their sites on building out the site, which is pitched to be "perfect for a large mixed-use project." The site is listed with Jones Lang LaSalle and the price is not disclosed, but according to the Real Estate Alert Newsletter it may potentially attract bids of about $25 million. Past attempts at developing the property have gone nowhere. In 2007, former site owner, Charlie R. Brown, of CRB Realty, proposed a vast mixed-use project, similar to what he developed …
Over the next several weeks, members of the public can submit sealed bids for eight properties currently owned by Fulton County.
Fulton County is selling off several surplus properties to the highest bidder over the next several weeks. According to the county, the properties have been officially declared as surplus to the needs of the county and its agencies by the county's board of commissioners, which allows them to any interested buyers instead of other public entities only. David Ricks, director of the general services department, said “We expect a great deal of interest in all eight properties.” All eight of the properties are located in Fulton County and include both undeveloped parcels and sites that previously housed Fulton County facilities. Closest to Roswell, there are properties for sale in Alpharetta and Sandy Springs.   To submit a bid, interested …
